Colon Cleansing is a technique to remove toxins from the body. This tends to be done using colonic hydrotherapy.
This is a technique of using water to remove faeces from the colon. If a person does not live a healthy lifestyle they may find that they have impacted faeces in their colon and it can give great relief to them if they are removed. Many people are concerned about going ahead with the treatment but the best thing to reduce any nerves is to find out exactly what to expect from the procedure.
The patient is laid down comfortably and then a tube is gently inserted into the anus. Through this tube up to thirty gallons of water is passed through to the colon. The water is heated to room temperature so that it is comfortable when it enters the body. Some water is put into the body and then let out again and this process is repeated.
The water is removed through a tube and any other matter is also passed down the tube so there is no need to be embarrassed about what passes down it as there is no smell or contact with the products. The procedure can be slightly uncomfortable as you are filled with water but it is not painful. The water is gentle inside and you cannot feel as it removes the waste matter.
The professional who is administering the treatment gently massages the stomach to help the water pass back out of the body.
They do everything that they can to make the client as relaxed and comfortable as possible. The procedure takes about half an hour to an hour (plus perhaps additional time to fill out paperwork) and you may need up to three sessions initially in order to reduce all of the toxins totally. Once you have had the treatment you are likely to have more frequent bowel movements and you should fee a sense of wellness, perhaps lighter and more energetic with less general aches and pains.
If you have a healthy lifestyle and do regular exercise then you should not need to have treatments as frequently as someone who is more sedentary and eats unhealthy foods. It is generally recommended that you have a treatment every three to six months.
The equipment used inside the body is often disposable and so you can be sure that there will be cross contamination between patients.
